Interior Trends In The 1980s

INTERIORS

Interiors of the 1980s was white plain walls, roof lights, the rebirth of floral wall papers and floral furniture. A postmodernist design with a blend of the old with high tech features as seen in roofs and staircase designs.

Saatchi Gallery was designed in 1985 by Max Gordon and located on Boundary Road in London. It was a marvelous, stripped sense of space & place. Having Top lit interiors and plain white walls on which works of art were hung from. Postmodernism was evident in its design with the use of the simple and the new technology in its roof structure.

Legends was designed by Eva Jiricna Architects in 1989. Located on the old Burlington Street in London, it served as a restaurant at day and a night club at night. The materials used were a refinement of the subtle and hard. Having a Hi- Tech stairs, the use of class and elegant light display. There was harmony beteen the elements.
